As the University's Active Learning Classrooms are technology-heavy and in order for you as a teacher to be able to operate the equipment correctly, easily and smoothly, you should attend an introductory training or workshop provided by CeUL. The training combines technology and higher education pedagogy and you will gain an understanding of how to create student-activating teaching with finesse in a dynamic classroom.
The ALC model is based on research on active learning and interactive teaching. An ALC classroom is often furnished with grouped tables for collaboration and equipped with common writing spaces for each group.
