The Stockholm City Hall is one of Sweden’s most famous buildings, and one of the capital's most visited tourist attractions. It is famous for its grand ceremonial halls and unique pieces of art and is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet held on 10th of December each year. It also houses offices for 200 people including the Municipal Council.
Getting to the City Hall via public transportation
The City Hall is just a short walk away from the central station.
The City Hall (Stadshuset) is situated on the island Kungsholmen in the centre of Stockholm.
Buses nr 3 and 53 stop right in front of the City Hall at Hantverkargatan 1. The bus stop is called Stadshuset.
The closest metro station is Rådhuset (the blue line). It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the City Hall from the Central Station, and 5 minutes from the stop Rådhuset.
