Study Curating Art

Curating Art is in equal shares an academic and practice based education. The programme was developed as a joint enterprise between Stockholm University and prestigious institutions in the art world. Its dual perspective combining academic demands and practice based experience is a fundamental aspect in courses, assignments, and examinations.

Study History of Ideas

History of Ideas is the most all-round field of study at the university – at least if you believe our students. We offer most of our second level courses as self-study courses in English as well as one first cycle course in Swedish history of ideas.

Study Literature

In all times and in all cultures people have been telling stories and performing songs and poetry, practices that have led to the written text that we identify as literature. Within our subject you can study A History of Swedish Literature or aim for a Master's Programme in Literature.

Study Musicology

Musicology in Stockholm covers all periods of European music history, European folk music and popular music from the past century, i.e. as far back as recorded sound. Among our specialized courses are the well-received and popular series on Film Music and Sound Art.
