Programme content

The programme aims to provide students with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of curatorial work, including organising exhibitions and presentations, text production, project planning, and law. The programme provides insights into the relationship between theoretical thinking and visual creation. Theoretical courses and individual seminars in art history, museum education, management, and law are combined with practice-based projects and a ten-week internship at a Swedish or foreign institution. In addition to a master’s thesis, each student will produce a final curatorial project. The final semester of the programme comprises optional master’s courses, or equivalent, worth a total of 30 higher education credits at a Swedish or foreign university.
