Welcome to a workshop on teaching and learning with Centre for the Advancement of University Teaching (CeUL).

This workshop is aimed for teachers and course directors at Stockholm University

About the workshop

Learning analytics is defined as “a process of gathering and analyzing details of individual student interactions in online learning activities” (Horizon Report, 2016).

In this workshop we wish to illustrate how teachers and course directors can design online interactivity in learning management systems such as Moodle and Athena (itsLearning), and aim to help teachers and course directors start design such activities and start using learning analytics to better facilitate student learning.

The workshop will
•    Present the outcome of a student project designed around diagnostic testing
•    Introduce some key elements of learning analytics with respect to teaching using Moodle and Athena Learning Management systems
•    Engage you in designing learning interactions that allow you to capture learning analytics.
