The course is primarily aimed at supporting the professional development of university teachers from the faculty of Science, but teachers from all disciplinary areas are welcome to participate. Participants need to have have previously completed training in higher education teaching, UL1 or equivalent.
About the course
The aim of the course is to illuminate how gender intersects with science practices and the teaching and learning of science. The seminars will work through different ways in which gender dimensions impact science education.
In the course we will discuss contemporary research on gender and science education, which will prepare participants for designing research-informed teaching practices with a consideration to gender and other categories of difference.
Course content and structure
The course will run over eight consecutive weeks starting the week of February 12th. The course includes four 2 hour on campus meetings, consisting of combination of presentations and other activities. The course is equivalent to two weeks of study, i.e. 3 ECTS. Course language is English.

- Plan for developments of your own teaching practice, based on the research covered in the course.

Course certificate
You will be provided with a course certificate that certifies that you have completed the training once you have attended the meetings and carried out the tasks.
