On January 31st, the Latin American Institute and Department of Romance Studies and Classics Student Council hosted a fika at the Institute library for students. The activity aimed to bring students from the Romance and Classics Department together to engage with the newly formed Student Council and mingle. Students from different courses such as  Latin American Studies, French, Greek, Spanish and Portuguese, were present and participated of a short presentation to the Council, a cultural quiz and a crash course on a Brazilian dance rhythm, axé. The Student Council was really happy with the number of participants and expects to host new activities and have new members in 2019.
