Transferral of Studies

This page contains information about transferral of studies from a foreign university for students who have been admitted to or completed a course or programme of study at Stockholm University. Those wishing to study at Stockholm University should first apply via www.universityadmissions.se, the national university studies application website.

Students currently studying at a foreign university

If you are an international student currently studying at another university, or have studied for less than three years, and you have questions about studying at Stockholm University, you should contact the relevant University department for more information about studying at Stockholm University, www.su.se/departments. You may alternatively apply directly to study at Stockholm via the national university studies application website, www.universityadmissions.se.

Students with a completed degree from a foreign university

If you have completed a course or programme of study at a foreign university you may apply to have your qualifications accredited by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education. www.hsv.se

Transferral of studies undertaken at Stockholm University to a home university

Only your home university can decide whether or not a course at Stockholm University can form part of your degree. To be certain that your home university will accept the course or programme you would like to study, you must contact the department where you are currently studying, before applying to Stockholm University.

Transferral of foreign studies to Stockholm University

Students who have already been admitted to Stockholm University can apply to transfer their studies from a foreign university. If you are not a student at Stockholm University you must first apply via the national university studies application website, www.universityadmissions.se. The Academic Records Unit cannot help students who have not already been accepted on a course or programme of study at Stockholm University. For more information write to:
