Course content

The aim of the course is to work actively with the participants’ own texts on corporeality and thus to further their dissertation research in an effective way. This work will take place partly in relation to the other courses within the themed research school Corporeality in Theory and Practice, and partly through independent work with sources, use of theory, and mediation of bodily experience.

In addition, a number of masterclasses will be arranged in which guest lecturers will be invited to discuss the students’ texts on a given theme. The course will thus partly be steered by the needs and interests of the participants and will work as a shared platform for the theme as a whole.

Learning outcomes

Having completed the course the student will demonstrate an ability to:

  • produce texts within a number of academic genres
  • critically and reflectively discuss their own and others’ texts both orally and in writing
  • present their own research in international and cross-disciplinary contexts both orally and in writing
  • make an independent assessment of their own and others’ academic output from a cross-disciplinary perspective.
